Estate Cleanouts & Liquidation in Bancroft and North Hastings
Updated: 1 day ago
Clearing a home or cottage in Bancroft or North Hastings comes with its own challenges: longer distances, families who live hours away, and properties with sheds, garages and outbuildings full of tools, equipment and furniture. The Estate Care Company helps families and executors in Bancroft and the surrounding area handle it from start to finish.
Help for out-of-town families
Many of the estates we see in cottage country belong to families who live in the GTA or further away. We can be your local team: walking through the property with you, keeping you updated as the work progresses, and handling it so you don't need to make repeated long drives.
Our services in Bancroft and North Hastings
Estate clean-outs: sorting, removing and responsibly clearing a home, room by room
Estate liquidation: finding and listing the items worth selling, usually through an online auction platform we choose with you
Senior move management: sorting and packing for a downsize or a move to retirement living or long-term care
Estate consultation: a calm, practical plan for executors and families who don't know where to start
Selling contents online
Rural estates often hold items with real value: tools, outdoor equipment, vintage furniture and collectibles. Selling them through an online auction brings in buyers from well beyond the area, which usually does better than a local yard sale.
Pricing
When items sell through an online auction, our coordination fee is 10% of the net sale proceeds, plus hourly labour ($45/hr, or $81/hr for a two-person crew) for sorting, staging and clean-out work. Items with resale value help offset the cost of clearing the home, and you always know how the numbers work before we begin.
Book a free walkthrough
Every estate is different, so we start with a free, no-obligation walkthrough of the home. We'll look at what's there, talk through your timeline and give you a clear plan and estimate. Call or text 705-559-4806, email info@estatecarecompany.com, or request your walkthrough online.
